The narrow-edged triangular body of cant saw files fits into gaps between teeth angled at less than 60°, such as M-shaped teeth found on log saws and some circular saw blades. Also known as feather-edge files, their edges cant (slope) to form an optimal profile for sharpening tooth edges and refining points.
