Proto Retaining Ring Plier Set J360A

These sets consist of several pairs of convertible retaining-ring pliers that come in different lengths and tip sizes. Convertible retaining-ring pliers can switch their jaw motion or orientation to accommodate internal snap rings for bores and external snap rings for shafts. They eliminate the need for separate pairs of internal and external pliers. Their tips slide into matching grip holes in a ring's lugs (ears) to provide a secure hold when squeezing together or pulling apart the ends of the ring.
